Best place to host server side Deno App

I have a server side app I want to host in a specific region and I only want 1 instance of it running at a time, so deno deploy is not really right for this. Are there any other hosting services that are deno friendly?

Contabo My all time favourite

Was gonna say AWS Lightsail (cheaper than EC), which I use. But now that I looked up Contabo, those look like pretty tempting offerings, especially if multiple vCPUs is desired. Lightsail gets expensive fast if you want more than 2 vCPU

I've been using Contabo for six years, their customer support has always been amazing. Their product is amazing. And they're cheaper than most. Their administrative dashboards look old as fuck, but it's well-functioning and has always left me satisfied!

Hetzner is also a good option, with a nicer UI + a few more features

true, but i have experienced downtime at Contabo and the support said that it was up 100% while site24x7 (site monitoring) told us that it was down for atleast 20 mins. I`m responsible for a sync service between multiple API's so we cant have that happen 😅

You actually have a 100% SLA? Mine is 99.99% SLA a year Wait let me actually double check that

Yeah, Contabo has a 95% SLA per year Acts of natural causes is not exempted from the SLA
(1) The Provider will ensure that the physical connectivity of the object storage infrastructure, webspace packages, dedicated servers, virtual dedicated server and VPS is available at an annual average rate of 95%. This will not include periods in which the servers are unavailable online due to technical reasons or other problems that lie outside the Provider’s sphere of influence (force majeure, culpable conduct on the part of third parties or the customer, etc.), nor periods in which the Provider performs necessary maintenance work after giving timely advance notice.

Depends on what you're getting If you're getting a VPS or a VDS then hell no But if you're using their dedicated servers you're fine off

I mean, their VPS' are pretty capable. I must've run a dosen game servers on their VPS' during my relationship with them However, it's not always that optimal. If you want the best performance, a dedicated server is definitely the way to go

95% SLA sounds pretty bad though. Like, if they have full workday (8h) of downtime in a week, that's still in line with the SLA

Honestly, it's not that bad: Daily: 1h 12m Weekly: 8h 24m Monthly: 1d 12h 13m 27s Quarterly: 4d 12h 40m 22s Yearly: 18d 2h 41m 28s

Unless you're an enterprise, no.

true, for personal stuff it might be okay but any business related things should have a better uptime
